More Than Counseling – An Intimacy Therapy Workshop Intimacy Therapy is a biblically-based, clinically-sound counseling model developed by Dr. David Ferguson of Intimate Life Ministries in Austin, Texas. It is employed by the counselors at the Center for Relational Care (CRC)  and has been used in their marriage intensives for more than 15 years. The CRC and WinShape Foundation are partnering together to offer this two-day, More than Counseling Workshop at  WinShape  Retreat in Rome, Georgia, October 23-24, 2008. Though open to all, it will be of particular interest to professional counselors and therapists, social workers, chaplains, and pastoral counselors who work with marriages in crisis. The training in this relational and experiential model will include theory and practice, as well as breakout application sessions on topics such as affair recovery, freedom from fear, and accelerating the therapeutic process. Participants may earn up to 14 continuing education credits. The cost for the workshop is $145 if registration is completed by October 10.  After that it is $165.  The registration fee includes tuition, materials, and a CD with reproducible tools.
