Curt and Rhonda Hamner
Curt and Rhonda Hamner bring unique insights to the marriage relationship from the Scriptures, research, and their 39-year partnership in pastoral ministry and marriage. They direct Between Two Trees, a marriage education, consulting, and retreat ministry, helping churches maximize the care and nurture of growing marriages. They also are couples mentors for The Master’s Program, a national marketplace leadership mentoring ministry.
The Hamners led a team of theologians and practitioners releasing A Contemporary Theology of Marriage with Moody Publishing, Summer 2017. Curt and Rhonda travel across the country and around the world, bringing biblical perspective and practical tools together in a way that reaches couples across the generations.
Rhonda attended Long Beach State and Curt, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. They both have seminary training and are certified marriage educators and pastoral counselors. Curt and Rhonda met while working at Forest Home Conference Center in the San Bernardino Mountains, during their college years. The friendship eventually became a romance and they married in 1977.
The Hamners have three grown children and four grandchildren. They call the Mountains of Southern California their home, where they enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, landscaping their yard and hosting couples in their home. Curt and Rhonda have a passion for God’s purpose in marriage and a devotion to Christ, which motivates them to offer coaching and practical tools to couples in the realities of life.
