In 1984, S. Truett Cathy, Founder of Chick-fil-A, began the WinShape Foundation with the lauch of the College Program. After closing the doors of the Berry Academy, Berry College president Gloria Shatto asked Mr. Cathy if he had any ideas for how the buildings could be used. The WinShape College Program was proposed, initially providing a scholarship of $10,000 to students over the course of four years and an environment that fostered spiritual growth. Since then, the scholarship has increased to $16,000 for our full-time residents, along with a four year journey of equipping in developing disciples, creating community, and launching leaders.
All WinShape College Program initiatives are housed on the Berry College campus in Rome, Georgia.
Berry is the largest college campus in the world, with over 26,000 sprawling acres of deer, wild turkey, and beautiful hiking/biking trails.CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE BERRY COLLEGE WEBSITE.

How many new students are admitted each year?
How many applications do you normally receive each year?
Do I have to apply to Berry College before I apply to the WinShape College Program?
No. However, you must be accepted to Berry College before we can review your file for potential interview visit selection. It would be wise to apply to Berry College and WinShape College Program at the same time.
Do you have Spring admissions?
No. WinShape College Program only allows admission during he fall semester of each year.
When do I come for my interview visit?
In a typical year there are three interview visits that occur in January-March. WCP hosts 18-22 prospective students during each of those visits. An individual interview visit begins on Monday afternoon at 1:00pm and goes through Tuesday afternoon at 1:30pm. If you are selected for an interview visit, you will be notified by mail about two weeks prior to the selected date.

All applicants will be notified by April 15th before Fall enrollment.
If I am not accepted to WinShape this year, can I enroll at Berry and apply again next year?
How much is the scholarship?
Does WinShape cover my housing?
No. Pilgrim and Friendship are still Berry dorms and hold the same fees and regulations as required by the College Residence Life Office.
Do I have to live on mountain campus if I am a WinShape student?
Yes. Living in the WinShape dormitories is a requirement of all WinShape students.
What if I am not accepted? Can I still participate in the activities?
Berry students are welcome to be a part of Monday Night Meetings, Community Week, and any socials. However, only WinShape students can participate in Catalytic Events or Capitulum Groups. In addition, the WinShape Foundation offers several other ministries in which you can participate.
After your Interview
I'm waiting to hear whether or not I've been accepted to the WinShape program. Do I still need to pay the Berry room deposit?
Yes. If you plan on attending Berry, despite your WinShape status, that deposit will go toward any campus room and board fees (including WinShape dorms). If your enrollment to Berry is contingent upon your WCP admittance then you are better off waiting to pay your deposit until officially accepted.
I'm waiting to hear whether or not I've been accepted to WinShape. What should I put down for my dorm choice on the room preference sheet?
List your first choice as Pilgrim or Friendship Dorm, and that you're waiting to hear from WinShape. Please include a second choice as well.
I am on the waiting list. What does that mean?
If an opportunity in WinShape becomes available, applicants on the Waiting List will be considered. Each applicant will be notified if they have been selected. If the opportunity does not become available for an applicant by the end of the summer, the applicant, regretfully, will not be able to participate in the Program.
Once You're Accepted
How do roommate assignments work?
First year students have their roommates assigned to them as part of Capitulum group selection. If you have a request for your roommate, please make it known but we do not guarantee that you will receive your preference.
What are the Monday Night Meetings (MNMs)?
All WinShape students gather approximately twice a month to build community and dig deeper into the themes of Discipleship, Community, and Leadership. This gathering can involve anything from playing games to praying, listening to a speaker, celebrating birthdays, etc.
Are there any other times the whole community gathers?
Besides MNMs, we have a significant annual event for the entire community. Every fall we have Community Week, which is a week packed with low-cost opportunities to connect with everyone (i.e. paintball, whitewater rafting, cookout, etc.). We also have a variety of socials each year.
What will my WinShape College Program experience look like?
How much do the Catalytic Events cost?
All costs associated with Catalytic Events are paid by the WinShape College Program.
I'm a transfer student. Where do I start in the process?
All transfer students begin in the first year of training due to the foundational role of the first year content. This training entry point does not limit a student's interactions with the other students in the program.
