WinShape Wilderness is located in Rome, Georgia, on the beautiful 26,000-acre campus of Berry College — the largest contiguous college campus in the world. Whether your experience is rugged or restful, we have the facilities to serve you and your team.
WinShape Centre
The WinShape Centre complex contains three conference style rooms that can be set for meeting or eating, a gymnasium, and climbing gym. This facility has rooms that will accommodate up to 150 guests. With lots of variety and easy access to our athletic fields and challenge course, this facility is sure to meet your needs.
The Loft
Seats 120 guests theater style or 96 with round tables with 8 per table. The room is equipped with video projector with sound system, wireless microphone, DVD player, and computer hookup for presentations.
The Well
The Well features seating for 50 guests theater style, or can be set up for 45 around 8 foot rectangle tables. It is equipped with a multimedia presentation system that includes sound, video projector, DVD player, and computer hookup.
The Mill
Used as a meeting and/or eating facility, The Mill seats 120 guests with chairs and round tables, or 175 theater style. This room comes with a projector, screen, speakers, two microphones, Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, and a flip chart upon request.
The Gym
Guests can use The Gym as a meeting or recreational space. It fits 250+ theater style and is equipped with a projector, screen, speakers, two microphones, Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, and a flip chart (upon request).
Retreat Center
The Retreat Centre, located on our campus, offers a more upscale version of lodging, meeting and eating. With up to 64 hotel style rooms, 11 meeting rooms of various sizes, and a-state-of-the-art auditorium that seats up to 180- this is a perfect facility for corporate groups who are looking for a relaxing and fully accommodating setting to connect in.
A Retreat Room
We offer 64 retreat rooms in a campus-style retreat center. Each room has a private bath and all linens are provided. Each room is equipped with an alarm clock with CD player, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, body lotion, bottled water, iron and ironing board.
The Auditorium at Retreat
Our state-of-the-art auditorium seats up to 180. From smaller discussions to large workshops, our one-of-a-kind meeting spaces will inspire creative thought and productive sessions. Setups include areas that can be used for classroom teaching, workshops, lectures, breakouts and small group or boardroom discussions.
Cabins
Overnight groups can take advantage of our open-room cabins. All cabins are equipped with central heat and air conditioning, hardwood floors, and two bathrooms. Each cabin houses up to 12 people. Total overnight capacity is 200.
Hill Dining Hall
Hill Dining Hall features a large dining area that will seat up to 200. This facility contains a smaller meeting room as well an amphitheater right outside. It is conveniently located near our lodging cabins.
Hill Dining Hall
Hill contains seating for up to 200 guests. Rustic wooden floors and tables make a great place for eating or informal meeting. Also enjoy the large stone fireplace.
Hill Meeting Room.
Hill Meeting Room is perfect for groups of up to 40 guests. Great for meeting or eating. No built in AV equipment available.
Hill Amphitheater
The amphitheater, located right outside of Hill Dining Hall contains seating for up to 200 guests all facing a great stone fire ring. Area also has exterior “moon” lighting to create the essence of full moon lighting for evening sessions.
Recreation Facilities
Our Recreation Facilities include: tennis courts, basketball courts, beach volleyball court, athletic fields, and two disc golf courses.
Pavilion Area
This 75 ft. x 125 ft. facility can be used for rainy weather recreation, cookouts, square dances, and other special events. The pavilion is equipped with lighting, retractable basketball goals, and power for sound systems.
Crooked Arrow Lodge
Our 40 ft. x 70 ft. open-air facility features lighting, ceiling fans, and fireplace. Screens have wind guards that can be pulled down to protect against the wind Seats up to 200 guests theater style or 100 around tables. Note: The Lodge is not equipped with heat or air conditioning.
House O’ Dreams
Located three miles up Lavender Mountain, this historic house offers a serene mountaintop setting ideal for groups to reflect upon their experiences and enjoy the beauty of the area.
Old Mill Wheel
This is one of the largest working waterwheels in the country. The old mill area offers walking trails and a nice setting for reflection.
Frost Chapel
Standing atop one of the hills on Berry College’s Mountain Campus is the beautiful Frost Memorial Chapel. Built by Berry students and staff in 1936-37, Frost has become one of the places that visitors to the campus remember and return to visit.
Challenge Courses
Three separate Challenge Course sites including 25 dynamic high elements and 45 low elements. There are two outdoor static courses and one indoor static course. A trust walk loops around the course.
The Tower
The Tower, at over 60ft. high and with three sides, offers multiple levels of challenge. Side one contains the Vertical Playpen, a vertical obstacle course with variety of challenges like cargo nets, and giant’s ladders. Side 2 and 3 feature climbing walls with unique levels of climbing and repelling options.
WinShape Wilderness Rock Room
An indoor climbing facility housed in the WinShape Gymnasium. The Rock Room features 1,200 square feet of climbing surface with 10 top rope climbs, a cave, and 120 feet of bouldering space.
The Hub
The Hub is a brand new facility featuring a gym area, meeting rooms, climbing gym, workout room, and outdoor eating area.
Hub Gym
The Hub Gym can be used as a meeting or recreational space. It fits 250+ theater style and is equipped with a projector, screen, speakers, two microphones, Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, and a flip chart (upon request).
Hub Climbing Gym
The Hub Climbing Gym, encased in glass, contains seven top rope routes, and a variety of bouldering routes.
Hub Meeting Room
This meeting room is the perfect meeting place for groups of up to 100. This room comes with a projector, screen, speakers, and microphones.
Hub Back Porch
The Hub Back Porch is a covered outdoor dining area complete with picnic tables and a large grassy area for picnic blankets.
