From the beginning, we believed that the WinShape Wilderness experience needed to venture beyond the U.S.; God wanted us to work with other nations. To do that, our international work group developed a partner-based strategy that allows us to grow relationships with people and organizations that want to use experiential learning to impact lives with the Gospel.
So what does it look like? It’s different depending on what area of the world we’re working in. We’ve trained a missionary in Bosnia who is reaching out to high school and college students through adventure sports. In the United Arab Emirates, we helped place a couple that are working as experiential learning professionals with a college in that country. We’ve partnered with an organization in Egypt that uses character-based programs to transform children and families, providing training at their facilities and hosting their groups here on our campus.
